Note: this is a compilation of brief clips I shot on the field. It isn’t purty, but it gives you an idea of what went on. If you have high-speed internet go with the higher quality version.
If you weren’t there you missed a goood time as five teams took turns scrimmaging on the main football field. Two teams went against each other on each half of the field with one sitting out the session. 10 offensive plays and 10 defensive plays. Then move on against another team.

Subject: Need help with food pantry stock
Hi y’all,
I’m asking for help with the senior center food pantries at both senior centers. Our stock is very low. We need canned vegetables, fruit, fruit juice, pasta sauces, canned meat (tuna, ham, beef), peanut butter, jelly, pasta, rice, non-refrigerated microwaveable dishes and soup.
Snacks and treats are nice to have, too, for variety and “something different.”
We also need toilet paper and personal hygiene items including adult diapers.

I have three points to make:-
(1) Re Angel Dennison’s clarification (#3196-6) of my posting (#3195-19) in which I assumed, from Angel’s earlier posting (#3194-8) that the anti-Hispanic rants she heard were by Northwood parents. My apologies to Angel and any other Northwood parents whom I may have inadvertently offended. (I used to be a substitute teacher at Northwood.)

Friends of the Pittsboro Memorial Library Book Club will meet on Tuesday, September 2nd at 6:45 pm in the Reeves Gallery at the library. The book selection is “The Thirteenth Tale” by Diane Setterfield (Fiction). Join us.
Former academic Setterfield pays tribute in her debut to Brontë and du Maurier heroines: a plain girl gets wrapped up in a dark, haunted ruin of a house, which guards family secrets that are not hers and that she must discover at her peril. Margaret Lea, a London bookseller’s daughter, has written an obscure biography that suggests deep understanding of siblings.
