Well after last weeks post I had 22 emails offering help. I replied to them one by one and accepted what was offered or passed things up I couldn’t use. I waited on things to arrive that didn’t  and out of that 3 people actually showed up here to help as they promised. Two more helped me get some relief by phone.

Subject: Entertainment at Bynum

I was very entertained by the responses to the conservative gentleman who felt awkward (and maybe out of place) at hearing anti-Bush/War lyrics at the Bynum Store entertainment.  Seems that everyone responding was very cordial and understanding and welcoming to him and his views.  They welcome everyone and their opinions because, as liberals, they are diverse and inclusive.

If he had heard a group insert a pro-Bush lyric, I feel sure he would have really heard what an understanding group they really are.

I just thought I’d pass on the recommendation of a guy who came out to do a small dirt work project for us with his big Bobcat. He was very professional and courteous and did a great job at a VERY reasonable price. His name is Brian Woodard and his cell is 910-783-6558, in fact he did more than asked for and was happy to do a good job. He also does brick and masonry work.

Charter school opens major new facility in Chatham

A charter school that began only 10 years ago with fewer than 100 students in a small, then-rural shopping center in Chatham County is opening its own site-built building on Monday (Aug. 25) with more than 485 students.
