Our mission is two-fold: to provide companion care services to individuals of all ages, children to the elderly and to treat our employees better than our competitors. The business has been started to “pay it forward” in return for the “angels” who took care of my parents. We are interviewing people who may need work and also looking for clients. Everything is word of mouth.

We are new to Chatham County and have been reading the Chatham Chatlist since we knew we were going to be moving here. Many thanks for producing it.
We have been looking forward to beginning to participate in Chatham County life and made our initial attempt on Friday night at the Bynum General Store Concert. We loved the concert and the venue, just what we hoped life here would be like. We loved sitting on the lawn, watching the children run around, listening to the music, watching the stars come out and the fireflies beginning to flash.

Subject: seeking advice re: capturing rainwater for gardening
If you do decide to go with the $50 rain barrels from The Rain Barrel Company in Durham, and you have a way to transport several (like a pickup or something), I’d love to join in and help pay for gas and get a couple for my house.
I’ve been wanting to get up there for a month or so now, but have found it almost impossible to fit in my schedule since I work way south of Pittsboro, and they only sell the “cosmetically flawed” barrels on Tuesday 11-7 and Wednesday 9-3:30 p.m. Let me know if this might work.

Hello Chatlist readers -
I’m sure someone out there knows the answer to my question - I sent in registration forms for my 2 boys to play football this fall (1st time for both), and I never received confirmation that the forms were received or that my kids had been accepted into the league. This week, my husband noticed that practices have started. Should we just show up? I checked the website, and couldn’t find a phone number to contact. How does this league work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In response to the use of progressive. It may not be the best of terms.
Back in the fiftys when the communist party was openly active, they changed to be called Progressive. So to older folks who remember, Progressive is code for socialist/communist. Maybe it fits maybe it don’t, we all must decide.
My two cents, Bruce

Many thanks to the Fuller’s on the heads-up on who NOT to vote for;
The last thing our Chatham County (or any) schools need are more “involved progressives”, AND let’s call them what they are - ”liberals”..
Maybe the Fuller’s will do Chatham an additional civic service and provide us with a list of “involved progressives” just prior to each election. I’d love to carry these lists into the booths with me.
Jimmy

Gene, I’m mailing you a tiny donation to support your school board run. Run hard, run fast. WIN! I am a long time chat reader and sold 2 sofa via a classified ad. Met some nice people doing it too. Also found good homes for two sweet dogs when I moved.

Thanks to all that responded a couple of weeks ago to my call for help with a computer problem. The problem was such that was not an easy fix.
