Subject: goat fencing
My fence – for mini horses and goats was originally five strand electric. The goats walked right out of it. What to do?
I called a friend who has a herd and he had the answer…I have successfully kept them all in. With a seven strand electric fence…this is important. I added 4 more grounding rods, which made the fence really hot….and now everyone respects their own space.
Of course, I still have to be on guard whenever I open the gate cause out the goats go and run around eating all my roses, flowers and knocking down all my lovely (expensive) trees.
