It was brought to my attention that a couple of houses have been robbed in the area of Crawford Dairy Rd. and Collins Mountain Rd.
One happened during the day while no one was home the other at night when people were at home. Be vigilant for strangers asking for help and slow drivers “casing the joint” Get a license plate number if possible. If you can, ask your neighbors or a friend to check on your abode during off hours – after you leave for work.
Is there a daily police log that can be accessed for the county?
Also, is there any truth to the rumor of gypsies living on an island in the Haw River? Just curious.
