Sally,
I understand what you are saying but the site says “endow the new ne schools with lacrosse”.
That doesn’t say inclusive to me. I don’t read where it says it’s open to everyone.
I would certainly have the opinion, just from it’s name that it’s for those in and of that area and who plan to attend the new ne schools.

Northeast Youth Lacrosse is expecting this page to be up and running in 2012, when the new high school is complete. Our expectation is to have scores, statistics and other information regarding the high school lacrosse team. Please ask any members of the staff how you can help influence the decision to make lacrosse a varsity sport in the new high school.
Maybe it should just be about starting Lacrosse in Chatham and not “endowing” any particular schools.
If all the kids come out and interest is there, parents and volunteers and school staff will follow…be it at a new school or at Horton or Silk Hope.
I think the site needs to lose the comment about the new ne schools.
And I was among the first to fight for new schools in the NE, this is not about that. I think the middle school is long overdue and the sports programs for these kids will expand and flourish.
And as always, the high school is in the wrong place, but build it and build it soon, because I high school in the wrong location is better than no high school at all?
Hope to see some Lacrosse interest at Woods also. They need to be included in Chatham sports program whenever possible.
