Lacrosse in Chatham County, NC Schools?

July 21st, 2008 · No Comments

From: Howard
Subject: Lacrosse in Chatham Schools?

Don’t see anything bad about having lacrosse come to Chatham Schools. Don’t know if it is possible to go all-county with a new sport immediately? Is it easier to start with one school and let it spread? Or is it easier to start on a county wide level? Where do we get lacrosse coaches from? Considering the quickness of the game can you shoot someone’s eye out with a lacrosse ball?

Your pet can get COMPLETE veterinary care

Subject: In response to Low Cost Vet Care

In response to the post regarding our Low Cost Veterinary Care Days our intention was to not have a rabies vaccine clinic.  The idea behind offering these services at a reduced fee is so your pet can get COMPLETE veterinary care (and yes that includes an exam) at a reduced fee.  To my knowledge there is no place locally where you can have your dog, for example, seen by a veterinarian and get a complete exam, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, heartworm test, fecal exam at a total cost of $85.00.

Knocking the exclusiveness of lacrosse

July 21st, 2008 · No Comments

From: Meg Miller
Subject: Exclusive Lacrosse

Ok…I’m was not knocking Lacrosse with my last post.  I was knocking the “exclusiveness” of the sport in general.  It’s a mid Atlantic thing.  Usually associated with white, upper class “boys”.  And now to see the this newly formed Lacrosse league was looking to only “endow” the  new NE schools with Lacrosse just struck me as, well, once again, following that same stereotypical pattern.

It’s a great game to play and to watch.  I have had many Lacrosse players come through where I work and they introduced me to the game.  I love it.

Jesus is my mechanic/waiter/clerk/landscaper/politician/produce manager

I just want to chime in with my unsolicited and unverifiable 2 cents:

I, too, used to have trouble with humans and their “errors,” until I signed on with Jesus Christ Our Lord for all my customer service needs. He always knows what I need, whether it’s tires or a second appetizer or collards that aren’t already wilted, and He never gets it wrong!

My ONLY trouble with Him is that He often goes on and on and on about forgiveness and love,  and gets disappointed with me when I talk others down.
