Subject: New to town!
My family and I just moved to Pittsboro!
1. Are there any homeschoolers out there? Is there a support group or activities in Chatham County?
2. My husband and I teach violin at The Suzuki Academy of NC in Chapel Hill – We specialize in teaching Autistic/PDD children violin using a combination of the Suzuki Method, ABA, TEACCH and music therapy techniques — also two of our sons have Autism. We hope, with enough interest, to build an Autism division at our school and are beginning to ‘spread the word’ to all who might be interested. Scholarships are available.

Subject: Internet access–county wide!
Someone asked about Internet Access near Silk Hope.
Embarq has been slow to move in that direction, but I understand Bobcat Point has it (near Silk Hope).
It would be a wonderful service to the county, and possibly create some “telecommuting” jobs if the county adopted a broad band access, or whatever it’s called–internet access as a county service. This could help our economy.

Subject: rabies vaccination
I did check with http://www.hopecrossing.com/
They do NOT require a physical for rabies or kennel cough but do for other vaccines. They have a $5 rabies clinic every three months or so. and make appointments. They recommend three year re-vaccination.

Subject: Low Cost Veterinary Care July 21, July 31, August 1
Your friends at Pittsboro Animal Hospital advertises low cost veterinary days. What they don’t say is that a rabies shot or other vaccinations require a $38 exam. That’s $48 for a rabies shot. For other vaccines, they give individual shots for a cat which would be $55 + $38 for the exam and a single shot for a dog at $15 + $38.

Subject: experiences at Chapel Hill Tire at Cole Park
In response to the experiences at Chapel Hill Tire at Cole Park, I too have had similar bad experiences.
On 2 separate occasions, my oil cap was not replaced after an oil change. The first time it happened, my car was almost brand new. After driving all the way to Cary immediately after the the work was done, I noticed a very strong odor of gas. My stepdad and I discovered the oil cap sitting right on the engine! Of course, oil had blown all over the inside of the hood and engine. How I got as far as I did without blowing the engine is beyond me. Luck, I guess.

Subject: Regarding Chapel Hill Tire at Cole Park
I have been a customer with Chapel Hill Tire for some time. I know Marc Pons personally and to a lesser extent his brother and sister. In this life two ideals they hold high are integrity and honor. I feel comfortable saying that as I feel I know them. Yes, I have had to go back and talk with the counter staff at Cole Park about a missed this or that. We always worked it out. I left feeling good about them.
