Subject: Hot Pepper Bird Seed & Suet

I provide suet year-round and it is heavily used this time of year, by parents and the young. There are no-melt varieties which can be used.

The hot pepper in seed has always been controversial. I felt relieved when a customer came in and said that a mockingbird kept getting into her garden and eating all her hot peppers! I stopped worrying. If research says otherwise, I will reconsider but I haven’t heard anything which changes my mind.

- 2008 N.C. state playoff brackets
 Here are the latest North Carolina state high school football playoff brackets. The first round of games is scheduled for Friday, November 14. East Guilford (7-3) will play at Northwood in Pittsboro. West Columbus (5-5) will play at Jordan-Matthews in Siler City. Chatham Central (2-8) will play at Mount Airy (10-0).

 Angie Brady-Andrew, Principal of Siler City Elementary School, has been named the 2008-2009 Chatham County Principal of the Year. She will advance to the regional level of competition.

 In my opinion, what started as a wonderful and needed idea to empower the small, disconnected progressive groups around Chatham, back in the Bunkey days, has turned into a very pushy, very closed minded, out of touch organization.
