I’ll pass on McDonald’s and KFC

I would never allow my children to eat in those fast food chains after clear documentation of abuse of all animals from these large companies such as.

1. Chickens killed for their flesh are bred and drugged to grow so quickly that their hearts, lungs, and limbs often can’t keep up.

2. Hens used for eggs live six or seven to a battery cage the size of a file drawer, thousands of which are stacked tier upon tier in huge, filthy warehouses.

It is a pretty insignificant tax, four tenths of a per-cent or $600 on a sale of $150,000. Compare this to the 6% real estate commission many pay without complaint, $9,000 on the same sale.– In the United Kingdom, says University of California professor of economics Chang-Tai Hsieh, commissions average just 2%. How can we rank so much lower than a nation built similarly to our own?

Double good service

I wanted to share two good experiences.

The first was a wonderfully therapeutic and uplifting haircut I received from Kristy Church at Salon Blue. I have discovered I prefer her style and friendliness and will always wait for her to tame my mane. I also enjoy waiting in the lobby of Salon Blue. There is a cool virtual fish tank, magazines full of beautiful people and usually a few beautiful people sitting and waiting as well. Well done Kristy and Salon Blue. You lifted my spirits.
