Meg,
I know that lavender plants deter deer. I have them all over my farm because deer do not like to rub against them. Lavender oil from the plant gets on their coats and changes the deer’s scent. Plant more lavender & get collections of hair from your local hair salon because I have heard that sprinkling human hair on plants will deter deer.
