Make sure  to leave time in your schedule to check out  one of Chatham County’s three farmers’ markets this week! Farmers are harvesting a fantastic array of produce including strawberries, leeks, snow peas, greenhouse tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, salad mix, squash, carrots, garlic, sugar snap peas, Swiss chard, broccoli, onions, bok choy, mizuna, mustard, radishes, beets, cabbage, cauliflower, fresh-cut herbs, and more!

You’ll also find free-range eggs, goat cheese, pasture-raised pork & chicken & lamb & goat, cheesecake, baked goods, jams and jellies, cut flowers, vegetable and herb transplants, goats’ milk soap, hostas and other herbaceous perennials, bedding plants, hanging baskets, and more.

Tuesday: Fearrington Farmers’ Market from 4:00 pm-early evening

Thursday: Pittsboro Farmers’ Market from 3:30-6:30 pm

Saturday: Siler City Farmers’ market from 10:00 am-1:00 pm

Visit Cooperative Extension’s Growing Small Farms website at
