Subject: Response about dangerous dogs
Kit,
Just want to thank you for your post. I had all the same feelings, but wasn’t able to put my thoughts together in an intelligent way. I have family members who have tried to save dangerous dogs with tragic results. I, too, am an animal lover, and have 2 German shepherds. I cannot imagine how devastating it would be to have to make a decision like this, but think it is important to realize these dogs cannot be rehabilitated. It is also important to acknowledge the stream of logic and behavior in a dog’s mind. This will only get worse.
