Land Transfer Tax is a dead issue

Hello Jason,

Yes, much was said about the LTT when it was an issue, I’m sorry if you missed most of it. I’m sure an archive search will put you on it, I urge you to check it out.

What bothered me about it was, once voted in, the actual rate could be raised without going back to the voters. Also, the pro-tax crowd in this county, largely, don’t own land and have not plans to buy any.

And, this idea of taxing us more was being sold to us as a means to raise money for our mangled and crippled government schools. Well, that was what the last tax increase was for…

There is a lot to know and think about on this dead issue. You were 100% right when you said that the taxpayers said no to this idea of paying more tax for no more benefit. People that give credit to a bunch of realtors are the type that can be lead like the sheep they are, and they assume that me and you will fall in behind the herd. Not us. No, sir.

I enjoyed your piece, Jason, let’s hear from you more often.
