Subject: Stealing? Or just scamming?
I was dropping off some things this weekend at the new PTA Thrift Shop in PBO, and was there before the store was open. So I went over to the drop box in the parking lot, and started unloading. There was an older woman sitting in a car near the drop box, and as I approached she said “I’ll take that.”

Subject: Welcome to Pittsboro and Chatham County!!
Hi Lynn,
First, let me say “Welcome to Pittsboro!” Although I am not a native Chathamite, (I have only lived here for three years) I want to encourage you to look into joining the Chatham Chamber of Commerce. I joined the
board earlier this year and have been very impressed with the leadership and growth this Chamber has had. There are many, many programs and events designed to promote a business just like yours.

The idea of a pool in Pittsboro which could serve Chatham county is of great interest to me. It could benefit those who need exercise–children, adults, retirees, alike–and provide a way to cool off on hot summer days.
The YMCA working with county government and maybe even the community college could be a great way to pool resources for a much needed improvement to our area. (Pardon the pun).

The gentlemen outside of the grocery store are very friendly and pleasant. They always greet me with a hello and how are you today. They are retired and this has become their gathering place and no one around the area seems to mind. Sometimes things are not what they seem.

Instead of ever increasingly raising the property taxes we land owners pay to support the rest of those who don’t have land in this county, why hasn’t any one proposed an increase in sales taxes. I would like to think that most of us would agree that a 1/4 percent increase that would be paid by everyone who purchases anything in Chatham would be more fair than imposing more hardship and burden on a select few. Just my two cents worth, yall run with it.
