Well, I too think this is getting alittle boring.Hashing
around the good and bad things that are coming into
Pittsboro.

I am a life long resident of Pittsboro and I seem
to remember when all the hoopla of THE ARTS started coming to town and
Chatham County. Have I heard the first complaint about this lifestyle taking over our beautiful, tranquil, listening to
birds singing town? I believe the answer is NO.

In response to Ginna Earl’s comments on the coming McDonald’s I must say, as much as I never go to McDonald’s, that it is not the end of the world. BTW some of the communities in Western North Carolina that have capitalized on their art communities also have McDonald’s, Walmart and other purveyors of the evil as some put it.

I am responding to the email titled “it doesn’t have to be this way”. Normally I try to stay out of the fray with things that may get me slammed, but this time I couldn’t. While I agree with the poster about the beauty of the county and people using their unique skills to create beauty out of obscurity, I do take issue with the idea that all things we need are within 15-20 minutes and if we really need them, to make a day of it with a friend.
