Subject: Piggly Wiggly store does nothing to enhance Pittsboro
I am so thankful for the Chatham Marketplace. Piggly Wiggly does nothing to enhance the town aesthetically wise with a face of a giant pig on a giant white sign sticking out like a sore thumb at the shopping center. The 2 shopping centers where Food Lion is and PW are dirty and not attractive.
There are crowds of people always hanging out in front of the Dollar Store in the PW Shopping center that has become a local hangout.
Where are the police? The parking lots are not swept and debris is all around to pollute the environment.
In closing there is NO good selection of vegetarian fare at Piggly Wiggly or Food Lion. Only the Marketplace and the new Harris Teeter has a good variety.
Please Chatham Marketplace expand and become larger.
In closing who are the owners of those 2 shopping centers. They should be made accountable for the way the shopping centers both look. I once heard someone say who was in the store shopping that the area looks trashy. Is that how I want my town described no thank you! And I bet the owners do not even
live here. If they do shame on you!
Please clean up your act Food Lion and PW.
