Deupree" anndeup...@alumni.duke.edu Subject: Pittsboro Bus Stop To Tom West, Sounds like you already have a job and a car to get there. What if you didn't? This proposed bus will offer transportation for people who work in Chapel Hill or along the 15/501 corrider or are seeking employment. Yes, this is needed especially in this economy. The request to Pittsboro Commissioners for $24,000 will cover the first 18 months of operation, when we'll learn the potential for ridership. This is $1,333/month; a very small expenditure to offer Pittsboro residents without transportation a chance to reach employment opportunities. There will be a fare to ride the bus. The estimate of ten riders is only a minimum; there will likely be many more riders from Pittsboro and all over Chatham County. Half of the funding comes from a grant from the state and feds because of the need for public transportation in Chatham County. Pittsboro and Chatham County must fund the other half of the cost. Yes, do contact your Pittsboro and Chatham County Commissioners. Tell them you want to know more about the busline and how we can support this important service for our families who want to work. I prefer someone who is used to working on "lived in homes" as I understand it can be really messy. I need someone who can help keep the mess down and turn the job around as quick as possible since we'll be camping out in our basement while the work is done. Please let me know your recommendations. Well ,, I am overweight ,, not as much as some but there . I also am struggling with bills like many others and I had another one of my crazy ideas . I was experimenting with ways to get better gas mileage and found gearing was a factor with any car . I played with different types of overdrive transmissions and took a break one weekend to visit a grist mill . When the water level was to low to turn the waterwheel there was a turn style with a harness for a horse and on the opposite side ,, a longer lever for a man to push the thing . If the horse gave out ,, a man could walk and turn the device that went through a transmission of sorts to turn the grist just fast enough to grind corn into meal . I remembered that and pondered when I decided to try to loose weight . One of the things about exercise is it seams to be a waste of time for me . Sure you loose weight but other then that its a block of time you get nothing productive done . I considered all that lost energy we expend trying to burn calories and remembered the grist mill . I have been tinkering with junk again and I believe I figured out a way to store that lost energy we expend while exercising . If you could exercise for an hour at a comfortable pace and power your home for 5 hours would you think differently about exercise ? Most people use 90% of their electricity in the evenings or weekends for washing and drying clothes , air conditioning , heat and a number of other things . If you could exercise for an hour and power your home during these peak electrical use times and see a significant difference in your power bill how would you feel about exercise then ? If your interested let me know ,, I'm already putting the thing together ,, and having fun with it :) Goodnite Mark :) -------------------- 10 -------------------- Date: Mon, 18 May 2009 15:17:31 +0000 From: colleen kendrick shrijardine...@hotmail.com Subject: Happy Ending for Plenty mishap hello all who responded, I wanted to update you of a happy ending, the customer who received too much PLENTY change came in to Angelina's Kitchen and returned it. But one thing I read about in several places recently (maybe even here) that he didn't mention, is that the deer species here is being weakened because the biggest, strongest, healthiest bucks are being slaughtered, allowing the inferior males of the secies to be the breeders. If nature were allowed to take her course, the inferior males would be fought out of the game by the better bucks. Over the generations, the deer will deteriorate and be more prone to sickness and deformities. Since i don't hunt at all, is there a local source where deer meat can be purchased?
