I grew up in southern Orange County, and I'm very much looking forward to my move to Chatham following my impending graduation from Carolina. In addition to my in-town lessons in Carrboro and Pittsboro, I will be offering a limited amount of itinerant, in-home instruction during weekdays for convenience. My program is a good introductory guitar program for students of any age looking to go on and study in any genre, or those students specifically seeking an intensive classical guitar program. References are readily available; for a primary reference, contact the classical guitar studio of Ellen Whitaker in Durham, North Carolina at 919-530-1417 . I was "scolded" recently by a customer who absolutely INSISTED that I should be putting Tritech out on the Chatlist a little more often. I try to be quiet because I don't think of the list as some kind of giant advertising venue and want to respect its presence, but since it's probably been thee or four months since I last plugged the business, here goes nothing! I've been sitting in front of a computer almost every day of my life since I was three years old, so why not use all the experience I've accumulated to create a team of amazingly skilled computer aficionados? Since I set out to do just that and opened up shop, we've been in Siler City for around half a year now, starting with just myself and one other technician. Since then, we have clearly provided a sorely needed service in Chatham County, because I now have SIX computer techs doing work for me. You see, we have some "crazy" ideas about doing business, such as **putting customers first** instead of our own wallets, and we're willing to tell you exactly what's going on without holding back information or making pie-in-the-sky promises. Here, it's not about the bottom line, it's about YOU. If you're looking for anything computer related for your home or business, we can help you. We're aiming to be a one-stop computer shop, and we do pretty much everything you can imagine. Since our opening, we've already set up or done major overhauls on a few local business technology infrastructures, and almost every single day, customers are waiting outside of our front door for us to open up because we're that good at what we do. Because we're also the only shop I know of that is a convenient drive for Chatham County residents that deals with Macs and Linux, we've also helped local people who previously had no local support whatsoever for those computing platforms. We also perform some repairs that most other shops don't usually offer, such as replacing bad capacitors on motherboards, which has saved tons of our customers from buying expensive new computers with a simple $80 procedure. We offer the best price you'll find anywhere on laptop hardware and power jack repairs, typically half the cost of most competitors and totaling at least $19 less than the cheapest national laptop jack specialists as well. I think that what ultimately makes us different is the fact that we care. We care about you and your computer, and we care about your specific needs. We want you to be happy. You're not just a number or a source of income. You're a prized and valued customer the second you walk in the door. That's all there is to it. It might not be the way other people do business, but by gosh, it's OUR way, and it's going to STAY that way. As for the obligatory details, we're at 1416 East 11th Street, Siler City, NC 27344. Our hours are 10-7 M-F, 12-4 Saturday, closed Sunday. You can reach us by phone at (919) 200-6003 (which automatically kicks over to a second line if the first one is busy) and on the Web at nctritech.com you can read much more about us and what we do. Thanks again to everyone in Chatham County helping us to be such a huge success! Our goal is to assist the elderly with respite care and other services, to assist families with financial counseling in family budgeting [no advice on stocks, bonds or debt consolidation] and to assist under privileged and home schooled children with music. These ministries include, but are not limited to, transportation or sitting for the elderly, helping families who cannot balance a check book, and teaching children and adults to sing, read music, or play a musical instrument. Charlie's Barn is still the place to go for good music!  Country, Bluegrass and Gospel all on the localy famous stage featureing a full wall sized mural for a backdrop.  We are playing there each and every friday night from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  The following are the bands scheduled for the next few weeks. These bands sometimes join the "regulars" onstage and sometimes just begin playing at 8:00 after the regulars give up the stage to the invited band. May 8  - Flat Tire Bluegrass May 15 - Charlie's Regulars May 22 - Lonesome Dove Schedules are subject to change, as folks are strictly coming out on a volunteer basis to play.  All are invited to come and enjoy the show, but if you're a picker or singer or plinker, we sure would like you to step up on stage and show us what you got! The regulars, if you want to call them that, are Ulys Cook, Ed Tillman, J. W. Parsons, David Gilmore, David McMeill, and Bruce Meacham. In addition often we have Lynel Davis, Barney Collins, Clyde Elkins, Joe Martin, Mike Mann, and "Roadside" Rusty McIntosh, of course. There are many others who come on occasion. To get to Charlie's Barn from Pittsboro, go west on Hwy.64 to Buckner-Clark Road.  Turn right and take the first left on Hillside Music Road and continue down the grtavel road to Charlie's Barn.  If you get=2 0that close you can hang your head out the window and just follow the music to a comfortable, relaxed, and home-style night of fun, music and laughter. For additional information or if you are interested in joining in on stage, contact Bruce at 919-542-3124 or e-mail at BruceMeac...@Embarqmail.com -------------------- 33 -------------------- Date: Thu, 7 May 2009 10:58:16 -0400 (GMT-04:00) From: ge...@mindspring.com Subject: John Deere Gator Sun Canopy for sale Sun canopy for a John Deere Gator - used, but still green! $30 -------------------- 34 -------------------- Date: Thu, 7 May 2009 11:46:27 -0400 From: "Darcey Moore" dmo...@chimerix-inc.com Subject: UNCG Student/Daughter looking for work this summer, prefers to be a nanny UNCG Student/Daughter looking for work this summer, prefers to be a nanny - Just email me, thanks. I've heard that summer school's been cut from Chatham's budget---somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. If your child needs that academic boost, I'll be available to tutor a limited # of students starting in June. I am an experienced Title I Elementary + Middle School tutor (also a CCCC Basic Skills instructor). Most of my tutoring has been for reading and writing. Hours flexible; Siler City area preferred. To keep it affordable, I'll gladly give a summer discount "recession rate" to the first 3 students who sign up. Also, if 2 students at relatively the same academic level want to sign up together, I'd be happy to work with both at the same time (enabling their parents to split the fee). Please spread the word, and call or email me for more info.
