in The Carrom Game Tent (a cross between marbles, pool and penny hockey).

Or, you could just recognize that when you sell your land in such a development-oriented location, you 1) are getting a windfall profit and 2) costing the county (probably the state too) money in infrastructure costs. In light of that, a 1% tax is both reasonable and conservative.

I found a local clock repairman in Liberty, NC. Rick, of Rick's Jewelers, is at 118 Swannanoa Ave., the main east-west street in Liberty. Liberty is just ten miles north of Siler City.
He is as old as father time and knows wall and grandfather clocks well. He also does pocket watch repair. He also happily gave a refund on an item returned.

Looking forward to hearing from those who are in favor of the land transfer tax. I need more details...why do we care if people moving in pay more, and how does it affect current property owners? To state that "folks in Chatham don't want this " makes me wonder who these "folks" are and what they are thinking. Thanks.

Folks in Chatham County do not want their taxes raised again! They do no want a 1% Land Transfer Tax, that has no guarantee of staying at 1% and there is NO guarantee that it will replace the current impact fee.

Hi Heather, I want to make sure you know I am watching you too! And since you brought it up, you need to realize that because of the past leadership in our BOC, WE need to pay HIGHER taxes to pay for the NEEDED infrastructure REQUIRED for the CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT already approved by the BOC. There really is no discussion about it. It is ridiculous, hilarious, sad, amazing, AND irresponsible for you to make such nonsensical posts! Peter Theye
